The five of us had such a fun time! I posted a bunch of pictures and I think they speak for themselves. I hope you all had a great weekend too!
Jon and I ready to go to the fair! We walked down to Bryan and Tabitha's house early Saturday morning. We wanted to be able to get on the road and beat any traffic as we went into the city.
We made it in great time and actually arrived before the big crowds got there! We were thankful that we did not have to park a mile away.
We were able to attend a demonstration to watch how to milk a cow. This was not the old-fashioned way that my Dad did when he was living on a Dairy farm. From the looks of it, things have come a long ways.
Me, Tabitha, and sleeping Wyatt. He needed a nap, but just wanted to be held. Poor guy was a little overwhelmed with all the people around us.
Yes I ate some fair food. We ate some Funnel Cake Fries and a bite of the Fried Smores Poptart. Honestly, the smell of fried food was completely overwhelming and at times disgusting. We all shared these treats and they were good, but I would have been fine without them. My how things change.

We're headed to the N.C. State Fair this week. I love the agriculture halls! Good for you guys passing on most of the food, wish us luck!
Good Luck Teresa! Bring lots of healthy snacks with you and eat those instead.
Looks like a lot of fun! Chipotle is my favorite fast food! So yummy and guilt free! :-)
Marlene - We did have fun! We are huge fans of Chipotle!!
You and Jon look so comfortable with a kiddo in your arms!
Glad you had a good time, and yes, Chipotle is much better than fair food.
Losing Brownies - Thanks! Hopefully we will have kids someday!
Looks like you had a great time! I've heard many a stories about the deep fried food at the Texas state fair.
We ate at Chipotle this weekend too ;-) YUM! I agree much better and very delicious!
Weightless - We did have a great time. I am pretty sure that Texans will fry anything!
The funnel cake fries looked awesome! I did the TX State Fair two years ago and ate every fried thing under the sun!
Quincy - The funnel cake fries were good!
You make me want to sign up for weight watchers, but I'm always a little uncomfortable going to meetings.
J. Darling - You should sign up. I am a little uncomfortable at the meetings too. However, that does not compare to the knowledge I have gained at my meetings.
Love the fair...and chopotle! Sounds like a great day.
Sarah - It was so much fun!
I guess I feel like I've been watching my weight my entire life. I know what makes me gain weight. Just keeping anything up consistantly seems impossible. I got down to the 170's in my mid 20's, but an unhealthy relationship (both in type and in eating habits - EVERYTHING he'd eat had butter, carbs, etc - He's now diabetic with averaging blood sugars in the 300s!), I'm still trying to lose those bad habits. ;)
Looks like the Dallas one was much more eventful than the Abilene one! I'm jealous!
J. Darling - That is hard. Bad habits are hard to break, especially when you don't have someone there to really support you.
MrsArielHarrell - Yes. It was the one in Dallas. It was fun!
