I am a WebMD junkie and so I got on their website to do some research. Everything I read said that the doctors normally give you three months to get things under control and if you cannot do that then they will put you on medicine. I did not want to be on medicine for the rest of my life. Besides that most of these medicines only treat symptoms, they do not make the actual problem go away.
One of the best decisions I have ever made for myself was to join Weight Watchers. It has took me a little over twelve months, but I have lost over 90 pounds. I have lost weight and I am determined to make sure I am stay healthy. Best of all my cholesterol is down and so is my blood pressure. With God's help, I have made myself a healthier person!! We did it!! I could not have done it with out God and Jon. Jon has been the most amazing husband in this time and I just don't understand why he loves me so much, but he does. Thank you honey!!
I am also a runner and I ran my first 5K in August 2009. I have plans to run a half-marathon and maybe even a full marathon someday.

The best part about all of this is that I have to be able to share about what God has done in my life with others. I always have people, including other Weight Watchers member ask me, "How did you lose your weight?" and "What do you eat?". This blog in part is for all of you who want the tips, recipes, and other ideas that I have picked up along the way.
