Weekly Weigh In - Getting In Control

source

This week, I am finally getting back into the swing of things! I cannot believe that this is my first full week of work following Christmas break. Last Saturday, at my weigh in, I lost 0.6 pounds!! That means that I only have 4 more pounds until I am back into my healthy weight range!! I have more than that to get to my ultimate goal, but I am excited to be making progress.

Last week, my small goal was to drink my water and liquids. Even though it's winter, I did a much better job getting in all the water that I need per day.

My goal for this week is to plan ahead!!

On Saturday, after my Weight Watchers meeting, I made a dinner menu for this week. I also went to the grocery store to stock up on fruits, veggies, and other low PointsPlus snacks! I portioned out my snacks, so that they would be ready for me to enjoy throughout the week. I get really busy during the week and doing this prep work ahead of time helps me to be more successful during the week.

What small changes are you going to make this week!?

For those of you who are curious, this is what my dinner menu looks like for the week.

Monday: Crockpot 3 Bean Turkey Chili
Tuesday: Leftovers
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Meatloaf Muffins
Friday: Sheperd's Pie, Lightened Up

I was successful in sticking within my points yesterday. One day down. One day at a time.
I'm returning to my WW meeting tomorrow after being gone for a month and a half. I'm terrified to step on the scale. Not because of the number I'll see (because nothing will surprise me), but because of the number someone else will see. But I just have to bite the bullet. I guess if I don't want bad results at the scale, I need to make different choices.

I homeschool 4 kids and always get behind trying to fix lunch and then clean and then restart schooling. I bought some lunch containers and am going to do packed lunches for all of us the night before. Then, when lunch comes, we just grab, eat, and get back into schooling. This will help me already have a healthy lunch in place and save me time, too, making staying on track easier!

I went to my WW meeting today. Since the routine they are focusing on is eating power foods with every meal I'm going with that. The last time I did it I lost 3.4 pounds in a week. Since I gained 2.4 over the last 2 weeks I'm hoping for the same fate this time.
I'm also trying to pre-plan this week. I'm trying to eat out of the freezer and pantry this month since both are full and I need to make room for more healthy stuff.

Hi Jen - lost 2 pounds my first week! This week I went out of town for a meeting and I did not do so good with my meals. Long days and late dinners are not a good combination! My goal for next week is to learn how to plan better. Maybe carry healthy snacks when I travel so I can do better. I got back on the wagon as soon as I came back, so lets see what happens at weigh in on Saturday!
