Flashback Friday: Christmas Family Portraits

Christmas pictures in March? I know, I know, I should be done posting Christmas pictures. But I took a lot of pictures for on our trip and I want to be able to share as many of them with you as I can!!

Today's flashback will take us to those wonderful family portraits that we posed for on Christmas day. Technically, these were taken a few days after Christmas, but who's really keeping track.

Pictures are a big deal to my husband's family. I think because they moved and traveled so much, that they like having pictures to remember where they have been and who they have met. My father-in-law loves taking pictures of all of us. This was his primary job. Each holiday, Dave wanted to make sure that we took family pictures. There were times when we would literally stand posed for hours waiting for Dave to get the lighting just right, and rearrange us several times to make sure that we were in just the right spot. In the end we would always get great family pictures!

Then, Rachel got engaged to Aric and things have changed a little. Dave is not our primary photographer anymore, because Aric is also a photographer. Now instead of just one person trying to set us up to take pictures we have two!!

I cannot help but chuckle at how Jon married someone just like his mother and Rachel is marrying someone just like her father.

Here are some of the family portraits that Dave and Aric worked on together! I am sure that this is just the first of many more years were they will be working together to make sure that they get the perfect pictures of all of us!

Jon's Family: Josh, Jon, Rachel, Eva, Hannah, Dave, and Lisa

Jon's Siblings: Jon, Eva, Hannah, Rachel, and Josh

They are crazy like this all the time!

Their expanding family: Rachel, Aric, Hannah, Eva, Josh, Jon, and Jennifer
