The truth is, as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic, most of us are still in some form of lockdown and/or quarantine. However, it doesn’t mean we cannot celebrate Valentine’s Day with our significant other.

Depending on our season of life, our Valentine’s Day always looks a little different than it does in the movies!! As poor college students, we often worked on Valentine’s Day and would celebrate on a different day with our tight budget in mind. As our season changed, we could celebrate Valentine’s Day out together with dinner at our favorite restaurant and a movie in the theater. Kind of feels like a lifetime ago!! Then, when we had our beautiful girls, life changed again and our Valentine’s Day became a family date night with our littles enjoying delicious takeout with us at home. We’re still in the throes of young children, but I’m sure in time our Valentine’s Day traditions will change again.
