Playing Catch Up

There is so much that I want to share with you today. Things are crazy right now at my house, because we don't have internet and we had car trouble last week. All that to say I have been a little scatter brained. So, I decided to put everything into one blog post. I hope you can handle it...just kidding.

. . . . . . . . . .
China for Christmas

The first thing I want to share with you is that I am going to China for Christmas!! That's right Jon and I are leaving for China in 2 months and 4 days for China. I shared with you some of our pictures from our last trip to China over four years ago, to see that blog post click here.

You see, as Jon's graduation was approaching, we began to talk about where Jon wanted to go to celebrate his accomplishment. We talked about several different options. Then, we found out that Jon's entire family would be in China together for Christmas, except for the two of us. After much debate and prayer we decided that there the best thing for us to do would be to join everyone in China for Christmas.

I leave December 16th, 2010 and return home January 7th, 2011. I am so excited!!

. . . . . . . . . .
Health Fair

The second thing I wanted to tell you about was the health fair. Last Thursday, I had an amazing opportunity to go to our university Health Fair. I was so excited to go check out the different booths and find out whether or not I was healthy.

I have been looking forward to attending this health fair for over a year. The last time I went was in January 2009. I had lost almost 22 pounds, but it still did not seem like it made that much of a dent in my overall weight loss. My stats were not very good, but I told my friend Anna that the next year when I attended the health fair, I would be at goal.

When the time finally came to go to the Health Fair, I could not wait! I did not want to go by myself, so I went with some ladies from my office. It was funny, because it seemed like I was the only one actually excited about having tests done and finding out the results. But I was happy to have company and not be there all on my own.

I had tracked my stats from the very beginning of my journey and it is always exciting to see just how much they have changed. Alright, here are my stats.

10.07.10: Health Fair Stats
BMI: 22.1, Body Fat: 23.5%, Blood Pressure: 112/64, Heart Rate: 63, Pulse Oxymetry: 100

I continue to be overwhelmed with how my weight loss has affected every aspect of my life. At the beginning on this journey I never thought that I would be at a BMI of 22.1!

. . . . . . . . . .
Blog Award

Finally, a week or two ago I received a few blog award from Dawn!! Thank you so much to Dawn at Cake By Dawn for The Versatile Blogger Award! If you have not checked out her blog you need to do so. Thanks again.

Okay, now I think we are all caught up!

Congratulations on your improved health stats! Improving your health as a result of losing weight is better than any reward money can buy. I am looking forward to the day I too can find comfort in those numbers.
