My dear, your suggested cooking time (35-45min) is way off and saying "or more" really doesn't quite how much more will be involved. It took my cobbler a full 90 minutes to get that nice golden brown crust, but that is because I started with frozen solid fruit.(Peaches in particular, though berries might be quicker.)The denseness of one's fruit choice might make a difference.<br />Next time I'll thaw my frozen fruit out, since I see no particular value gained by it being frozen solid and adjust the oven slightly hotter 400 and then it should take 45 minutes, maybe an hour to turn golden brown. Also I agree a bit more liquid, maybe an extra 1/4 cup might be helpful. There were spots of dry crust, but I added dabs of lite butter to those spots to help them. I went ahead and poured my Sprite over the cake mix reserving some of the Sprite (maybe 1/4 cup). Then I poured the reserved Sprite into an unused clean spray bottle and turned the nozzle to make a fine mist and just misted the whole surface of the cobbler, making about 3 passes over it.
