I knew I didn't want that stuff ...Great advice! I knew I didn't want that stuff hanging around the house. After all, I lost 2lbs last week! One bad decision in this area could set off a chain reaction for me! So I bought candy at 5pm in Halloween. I bought 2 small bags (there is no rule that you must give out a ton of candy). I encouraged kids to take handfuls and once it was gone, it was gone. I didn't have a single piece. I knew myself well enough to know that if I had 1 piece, it would be hard to stop. So I didn't start. I enjoyed a cup of Swiss Miss Diet Hot Chocolate, a bowl of air popped popcorn, a spooky tv show, and some warm cinnamon apples (microwaved granny smith cut and sprinkled w/ cinnamon and nutmeg) instead - and the peace of mind that my brain is more powerful than a bowl of manufactured junk.-J.D.
